What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a small, biocompatible titanium screw placed in the jawbone to replace the root of a lost tooth. Once it has fused with the bone (osseointegration), a crown, a bridge or a full arch of teeth is attached to it.
Unlike conventional bridges and dentures, implants don’t require grinding down neighbouring teeth, don’t move when you eat or speak, and help preserve the jawbone. With good hygiene and regular check-ups they can last a lifetime.

Implant options
We recommend a solution based on how many teeth are missing, how much bone you have and what you expect from your new teeth.
| Option | Suitable for | Implants | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single implant | One missing tooth | 1 implant + 1 crown | 2 trips, or immediate loading |
| Implant bridge | 2–4 adjacent missing teeth | 2–3 implants | 2 trips |
| All-on-4 | A toothless arch or failing teeth | 4 per arch | Fixed temporary teeth within days |
| All-on-6 | A full arch with enough bone | 6 per arch | Fixed temporary teeth within days |
All-on-4 and All-on-6: fixed teeth in a few days
With All-on-4, a full arch of teeth is fixed on four implants, with the two back implants tilted to make the most of the available bone. In many cases this avoids bone grafting, even after years of wearing dentures. All-on-6 uses six implants and spreads chewing forces even more evenly.
With both techniques you receive fixed temporary teeth a few days after surgery; the permanent zirconia or ceramic bridge is fitted once healing is complete.
Not enough bone? Sinus lift and bone grafting
After years without teeth, or because of gum disease (periodontitis), the jawbone can shrink. With a sinus lift and bone grafting we rebuild the volume needed to place implants safely.
We assess every case with a 3D cone beam CT scan, so you know from the start whether extra procedures are needed and how they affect timing and cost.

The process, step by step
Assessment
We review your X-ray or CT scan and send you a treatment plan and quote.
Surgery
At the clinic we complete the 3D diagnosis and place the implants under local anaesthesia.
Healing
Over 3–6 months the implant fuses with the bone. Meanwhile you wear temporary teeth.
Final teeth
We fit permanent zirconia or ceramic crowns or bridges, made in our own lab.
After surgery
For the first 48 hours, use ice packs, stick to soft, lukewarm food and avoid smoking. Brush gently with a soft toothbrush and use the mouthwash we recommend. Before you fly home we do a check-up and give you full documentation: implant type, brand and size, X-rays and written aftercare instructions.
Annual check-ups and hygiene appointments can be done by your own dentist at home. If you have any questions, we are always reachable on WhatsApp.
Dental implant FAQ
Who is a candidate for dental implants?
Almost any adult in good general health. Controlled diabetes, high blood pressure or osteoporosis don’t rule out implants but need careful assessment. Smoking lowers the success rate, so we advise stopping at least during healing.
How long do dental implants last?
A well-integrated and well-maintained implant can last for decades, often for life. The crown on top may need replacing after many years due to normal wear.
What is the success rate?
Scientific studies report success rates above 95% after ten years. At our clinic the implant success rate is 98%.
What if I don’t have enough bone?
We can rebuild it with bone grafting or a sinus lift, or use tilted implants as in the All-on-4 technique, which often avoids grafting altogether.
Can I get fixed teeth straight away?
Often, yes. If the implants are stable enough at placement, we fit fixed temporary teeth within a few days (immediate loading). We decide this case by case.
How long do I need to stay in Tirana?
The first trip usually takes 5–7 days and the second, 3–6 months later, about a week. We schedule appointments to keep your stay as short as possible.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. We review your X-ray free of charge and send you an indicative treatment plan. The final quote is confirmed after the exam and CT scan at the clinic.
Can I have check-ups at home?
Yes. Routine check-ups and hygiene can be done by your own dentist; we give you all the details of the implants used.
